Performance High was founded in 2009 to serve contemporary vocalists. Since then, it has grown into a supportive, vibrant community of vocal artists of all ages.

Whether you sing for personal development or professionally, we are here to take your voice to the next level with expert contemporary vocal coaching that gets results.

All of our vocal coaches not only complete a rigorous in-house training program before beginning to teach, but are also required to participate in ongoing continuing education so we can all keep growing, stay current with vocal pedagogy, and get the best results for our clients.

Performance High is also dedicated to being one of the best workplaces around. We provide lifelong careers – not just jobs – with generous pay, benefits, advancement opportunities, and a workplace where everyone is respected and heard.

Many of our coaches have been with us for over ten years. This means that when you take lessons at Performance High, you are getting a truly committed and skilled coach.

Why We Love Teaching

Studio founder Adrienne Osborn left a lucrative IT career in the mid‑2000s because she wanted to work with people instead of businesses. She wasn't sure what she wanted to do, but started by taking voice lessons.

She quickly discovered how hard it was to find a good coach for contemporary singing. So she dove into every vocal resource she could find, began teaching herself, and soon was coaching a next‑door neighbor.

She eventually got training and accreditation through the International Voice Teachers of Mix (IVTOM). Meanwhile, she threw herself into bands without knowing how to run sound, use a microphone, write songs, record, or perform. It was an expensive trial by fire—but also a powerful real‑world education.

As her roster grew, she loved how students would literally stand taller after peak experiences like performing on stage. That post‑show high could last for days, which inspired the name “Performance High.”

When she started hiring teachers, Adrienne became fierce about building a rare kind of music school: a local, non-franchized studio with a deep culture of respect, trust, and inclusion. A place where talented coaches are rewarded with generous pay and a complete benefit package so they can grow, thrive, and support clients of all types.

The first two teachers she hired in 2012 and 2015 are still with the studio today, and the community has grown into a place that many people in the Colorado music scene call home.
