Pop/Rock Voice Lessons
Today’s singers sound nothing like opera singers, musical theatre singers of the 40’s, or even pop singers of the 70’s. Vocal styles change – and vocal instruction has evolved with it.
Classical techniques have their place, but modern vocalists who take solely classical voice lessons often don’t end up sounding like they want.
Our experienced, educated teachers – who all sing contemporary music themselves – use modern, science-based vocal methods created by the voice pioneers of the last 50 years.
Musical Theater Voice Lessons
Musical theatre is one of the most demanding vocal genres today, as it requires mastery of many different styles from rock to legit singing.
To help our vocalists sound the way they need to for today’s musical theatre, we use techniques appropriate to the particular production, which may draw from everything from classical to distorted rock.
We have musical theatre coaches on staff who understand what it takes to audition and perform in today's musical theatre.
Clases Privadas de Cantar
Hablamos español y estamos a tus órdenes. Si prefieres tomar tus clases de voz en tu propio idioma, nuestra maestra, RaeLynn, te enseñará con gusto.
With its unique rhythms and highly emotive performance styles, Latin music provides different challenges than top 40 and Western rock music.
Our native Spanish-speaking vocal instructor RaeLynn Martinez – also a professional mariachi musician who plays nine instruments – can help you or your your child learn to sing authentic musica Latina in various styles including salsa, ranchera, norteña, tejana, banda, tropical, musica tradicional and Latin pop.
To help our singers sound authentic and remain inspired by the voices of their favorite Latin artists, we teach modern vocal techniques appropriate for the genre.
Screaming / Hard Rock Lessons
Do your (or your kid’s) favorite genres include “core” in the name – deathcore, hardcore, metalcore - or involve screaming, vocal fry, or distorted vocals? Are you worried about vocal health when singing hard rock, djent, pop punk, or metal songs?
You’ll be glad to know it IS possible to sing these hard genres and still maintain excellent vocal health! In fact, it’s possible to scream and sing with distortion with less physical effort than many other kinds of singing… if it’s done right.
We start with applicable classical foundations, to ensure proper breath support and airflow. Then we will teach a specific vocal fry that underpins most distorted singing, and then move on to one or more various types of screams such as false cord screams, growls, or simply harsh tones.
At the same time, we teach life-long vocal habits that will protect the voice from risk and damage, whether you (or your teen) stay within the same genres or expand their interests later.
Guitar, Piano, Ukulele Lessons
We offer piano, guitar, and ukulele lessons to help our vocalists on their musical journeys.
We teach toward your goals, whether that’s accompanying yourself or others, helping you with your songwriting, or producing your own music.
Discounts available for taking both voice and instrument lessons .

Small-Group Voice Lessons
We offer a welcoming, beginner‑friendly class for adults who want to learn real technique, gain confidence, and sing for joy.
If private singing lessons are like having a personal trainer, group singing lessons are like taking an exercise class!
This 12‑week class helps adults build solid technique and gain confidence in a fun, low‑pressure group. The class ends with a small, optional performance for friends and family.
Compared to private lessons, group lessons are a more social, supportive community experience. They are great for people who haven’t taken voice lessons before and want to learn fundamentals in a more structured curriculum, build confidence, and enjoy making steady progress along with others. 60 minutes each week, 3-6 people per class.
